In September, I shared an early preview of Sycamore Build. We invited people to bring a problem they knew firsthand, try building something, and tell us what got in their way. After a few weeks of shipping improvements every day, I’m excited to share that Build is now generally available.
We believe the people who understand a business best should be able to build the software that runs it. With Sycamore, your employees can turn their knowledge of business processes into working agents and applications by describing what they need, providing context, and collaborating with Sycamore Build throughout the build, testing, and deployment process.
The people doing the work can spot the assumption a description missed. Build gives them a plan to review before it builds, and a way to try the result and ask for changes.
And when the process changes, so do these apps. Your team describes the change and keeps building from what you already have. It’s the end of static, one-size-fits-all enterprise software.
But the most important changes may be the ones nobody knew to request at the start. A team keeps making the same exception, or people work around a step that looked sensible on paper. One person calls it a small inconvenience; after enough repetitions, it may be telling you that the software no longer fits the work.
Today, people can bring that learning back to Sycamore Build and ask for a change. Soon, the software will help recognize those patterns, suggest what might work better, and give the people who know the business a reason to agree, disagree, or ask a better question.
Over time, each change could make the next one better informed: not only improving the app, but improving how it finds useful changes in the first place. The result we are working toward is software that grows more capable alongside the business.
Our vision is a world where agents run enterprises autonomously, with humans in control. Sycamore Build is our first step toward making that future possible.
If there is something your team has been meaning to build, take a look at Build.
